留学生中心  AboutInternational Student Center
留学生中心是哈工大来华留学生招生、协调管理及非学历教育的归口部门，负责留学生的招生宣传、护签手续、管理业务指导等事务。中心下设：招生与管理科﹑对外汉语培训部和综合事务科。
中心的根本任务是招收各类留学生，不断加强学校国际间的教育和文化交流，大力促进学校校园文化多元化和促进学校国际化办学水平，助推世界一流大学建设。具体负责学校留学生招生宣传、录取、护签手续和管理业务指导工作；负责学校校际间的来华留学生交流与交换项目；负责来华留学中国政府奖学金（CSC奖学金）、优秀来华留学生奖学金（含HIT奖学金）及各类企业和个人奖学金的审批与管理；负责对外汉语教学的非学历教育；负责中华语言与文化的对外传播与推广；协助本科生院、研究生院、院系及后勤等部门管理留学生；组织留学生课外活动并提供必要的生活咨询。
留学生中心围绕一个中心任务：大力发展学位生；加强二个基本建设：来华留学生管理队伍和对外汉语师资队伍建设；实施三大提升工程：1.来华学位留学生培养与管理提升工程；2.来华留学生校园多元文化与学校国际化氛围提升工程；3.来华留学生工作可持续发展提升工程。不断深入贯彻和落实学校“以短期促长期、以规模上层次、大力发展高层次学位生”的来华留学生发展战略；不断建立和提升来华留学工作的“哈工大”特色和品牌，积极推动哈工大 “教育部来华留学（Ⅰ类）示范基地”的建设；进一步规范管理，强化服务，努力实现“让不知道哈工大的外国学生了解哈工大，让了解哈工大的外国学生留学哈工大，热爱哈工大，学在哈工大！”，圆其“留学中国梦”。 我们的口号：“提升中心发展凝聚力，筑起来华留学事业梦，助推世界一流大学创建！”

Internationalstudent centre is the centralizeddepartment of foreign student enrollment, coordination management andnon-academic education Harbin Institute of Technology, responsible for thepropaganda and enrollment of overseas students, signing procedure, operationalguidance, etc. Center sections: Section of Admissions & Administration,Section of General Affairs, Section of Chinese Language Training.

Thebasic task of the center is recruiting various types of international students,strengthening the communication of education and culture between schools indifferent countries, promoting cultural diversity and the standard ofinternationalized school vigorously, boosting the construction of world-classuniversities. Our responsibilities include: publicity of our school, admissionof foreign students, passport & visa procedures and management signedoperational guidance; the communication and exchange items among internationalstudents; approval and management of Chinese governmental scholarships (CSCscholarships), Outstanding Foreign Students Scholarship(including HITscholarships) and all kinds of businesses and individuals scholarships; foreignnon-academic education teaching Chinese; the communication and promotion ofChinese language and culture; assisting undergraduate school, graduate school,logistics management and other departments; organizing extracurricularactivities and providing the necessary life consult.

Acentral task of the International Student Centeris to develop graduate students. We are strengthening two basic constructions:foreign students’ management team and foreignlanguage teaching abilities. And we are implementing three major upgradeprojects: the training and the management promotion project; promotion ofcultural diversity and cosmopolitan atmosphere in the campus; sustainable developmentof the work for the international students' project. Besides, we are following the strategies of"promoting the long-term through short-term, promoting the level throughscale and developing high-level graduated students" and establishing HITfeatures and brands.
